Who: All ages welcome. The workshops will be lead by Okada Design, the Alum Rock Educational Foundation, and Alum Rock Youth.
What: This free pop-up makerspaces is a playful exploration of gaming through the use of simple craft materials, Makey Makeys and Scratch.
Where: Paseo Prototyping Festival , Hammer Theater, 101 Paseo De San Antonio, San Jose, CA 95113
When: 12:00pm- 8:00pm, April 8th, 2017
Why: The workshop's goal is to activate a public space with maker projects that connect youth and adults in a creative journey. The experience is not just the activity. It is also the collaboration, sharing, and exploration of the people in the space. An additional goal is to give Alum Rock youth (middle school and high school students) a platform to be educators and leaders in a technology infused creative project that engages them with a broader cross section of the San Jose community.
